Sharmin Alam is the co-founder and one of the two partners at Aclara Immigration Services. She is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and a member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), membership No. R706173. Sharmin began her career as a lawyer in Bangladesh and successfully practiced for many years in areas, such as admiralty law, judicial review, company law, environment law, property law, etc. She obtained her LL.B degree from the University of London, UK, and her LL.M degree from Cardiff University, UK. Sharmin is a very amiable person who absolutely loves to help people. She discovered her passion for immigration law while she was helping her own family members to process their immigration applications. Even before becoming a professional in the field of immigration, Sharmin volunteered to help many people to realize their dream of coming to Canada. Sharmin works on a wide range of immigration matters, including the Labour Market Impact Assessments, work permits, study permits, temporary resident visas, business migration, and permanent residence applications under the Federal Economic Class and Family Class. She also represents her clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. Other than English, she is fluent in Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu.
