Marilyn Taupan

BUSINESS OWNER

Marilyn Taupan is the founder of Canadian House Consulting Inc. since 2015. A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and Licensed Paralegal with a great passion for helping others. A Notary Public and a Commissioner of Oath in Ontario.

In 1987, I joined my family in Egypt, when my step-dad got commissioned in the Philippine Embassy in Cairo. I continued my education in Computer Management at the British Council, where I experienced the challenging phase of being a foreign student. I learned to overcome the language barrier and self-taught the Arabic language as well as adapted and integrated the ethnic culture of the country. After years of living in Canada, I went to manage a family-owned business in New Jersey, USA for few years before moving back to Canada. From 2001 till the present, I worked as a manager at Canadian House Import and Export, a company that exports commodities to the Middle East and Africa. I started my journey in the legal field when I completed my Paralegal program at Sheridan College and graduated with High Honours in 2013. I immediately worked as a Legal Assistant with an immigration consulting agency in Toronto, where I gained significant experience in study permits, employment, and family-based immigration matters. I also involve and an active member of my community. While completing my Paralegal program, I spent time volunteering for Not for Profit organizations in Brampton, such as Brampton Multicultural Community Centre and the North and Dufferin Legal Community Centre where I gained experience dealing with newcomers in Canada. My passion for helping others with their immigration needs leads me to enhance my knowledge about the Canadian immigration legal system. In 2014, I enrolled in and completed my Immigration Consultant certificate program at Humber College in Toronto, where I graduated with honours. With years of experience in business management and legal training, I started my own immigration firm, the Canadian House Consulting Inc., where I represent clients in various immigration issues with integrity and professionalism.
