The Honourable Sean Fraser, P.C., M.P., Minister of IRCC, marked beginning of National Francophone Immigration Week with a statement recognizing the significance of Francophone immigration to Canada

The Minister also emphasized the importance of immigration to Canada’s economic recovery and reinforced the federal government’s goal to have 4.4% French-speaking admissions outside Quebec by 2023.

The theme of this year's National Francophone Immigration Week is “the thousand flavours of La Francophonie,” which celebrates the rich and diverse traditions of French-speaking newcomers.
