S.U.C.C.E.S.S Receives Funding Extension of Nearly $12 Million to Provide Pre-Arrival Services for Newcomers

S.U.C.C.E.S.S is recognized as a key pre-arrival service provider to help set newcomers up for success when settling in Canada.

Pre arrival services are essential in ensuring newcomers are integrated and equipped to settle in Canada. S.U.C.C.E.S.S is just one of the 15 service providers that offers information, referrals, and orientation to newcomers.

On May 12th 2023, the Honourable Harjit Sajjan, Minister of International Development and Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada announced a funding extension of nearly $12 million to S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

Immigration Minister Sean Fraser says, “The success of newcomers in Canada is because of the hard work and efforts of groups like S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Ensuring that early success is critical to our economy and ensuring long-term prosperity for Canada and its people.”

This new investment is part of the over $60 million pre-arrival settlement funding being extended to service provider organizations across Canada. With the new investment, S.U.C.C.E.S.S can continue to deliver online and in person services to newcomers, including learning about the Canadian workforce, soft skills, and employment counselling.
