Canada is one of the top destinations of choice for people from across the globe who are looking for a new place to work, study and build their lives.

To maintain its status as a strong multicultural country, and as a destination of choice, Canada has announced strategies to improve its immigration system.

As per the strategies, Canada wants to better align the needs of the labour market with the immigration system, modernize its immigration system to allow newcomers to easily submit and track their applications digitally, improve the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) application processing service standard, help smaller communities attract and retain more newcomers, and promote Francophone immigration in communities across the nation.

IRCC has identified three pillars to maintain Canada's status as a destination of choice for newcomers:

1.Create a more welcoming experience for newcomers

2.Align immigration with labour market needs

3.Develop a comprehensive and coordinated growth plan Immigration Minister Marc Miller agrees that to fully utilize the potential of immigration and create the best experience for newcomers, Canada needs an immigration system that is easy to navigate and adaptive to change.
