Prior to founding Upper Canada Immigration Consultants, Ms. Seepersaud worked in newcomer settlement services for 15 years, serving as the Executive Director of a Greater Toronto-area settlement services agency that employed 85 staff in four locations and assisted more than 50,000 newcomers annually. She served in various capacities on numerous not-for-profit boards, and was at the forefront of developing innovative programs and services for immigrants and refugees. Her agency received meritorious awards from various levels of government and foundations, including a Citation for Citizenship from the Government of Canada, and a commendation from then-Governor General of Canada, Adrienne Clarkson for her leadership in implementing the first Community Citizenship Ceremony for new Canadians in Peel Region. For her sterling services in the settlement sector, Ms. Seepersaud received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. Ms. Seepersaud has studied, lived and worked in three continents. She has a deep understanding of the needs and priorities of newcomers to Canada. She provides guidance and support to clients as they make crucial decisions to embark on what would be one of the most important decisions in their lives. 1. Temporary Visas
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 YEARS

Initial Consultation with client; Assess assets, ties and risks for potential negative decision; guidance in gathering and preparing evidence; prepare and submit application; Submit ATIP request; Advise client on IRCC and CBSA rules.

2. Federal Skilled Workers, Federal Skills Trade, Express Entry
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 YEARS

Consultation with client; develop strategy; provide guidance and advice on gathering supporting documents and evidence; prepare and submit client's profile; provide updates; prepare permanent residency application; advise on landing process.

3. Family Class
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 YEARS

Humanistic approach: Document relationships for spousal sponsorship applications; sponsorship of dependent family members; parents and grandparents. We guide on gathering evidence; prepare and submit package, provide peace of mind; deliver results.

4. Citizenship
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 YEARS

Calculate PR data to determine citizenship eligibility and advise clients on taking requisite steps: proof of English Language capacity and knowledge of Canada Test. Prepare and submit application; provide updates; represent client on inquiries.

5. Permanent Resident Cards
EXPERIENCE: 2-5 YEARS

Counsel clients on permanent residency obligation; calculate residency data; Advise clients on purpose of PR card and its value; complete application and submit on behalf of client. Provide client with updates on progress of application.

6. Canadian Experience Class
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 YEARS

Provide advice on CEC pathway; assess NOC code and job specifications; determine if minimum eligibility criteria have been met; prepare and submit profile; prepare and submit PR application; advise on landing process.

7. Inadmissibility, Temporary Resident Permits, Authorization to Return (Criminal, Medical etc.)
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 YEARS

Advise client on strategy to remain in Canada with legal status; return to Canada, or overcome inadmissibility issue; prepare relevant application and submit on behalf of client to Parole Board; CBSA; IRCC. Represent client and obtain decision.

8. Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 YEARS

Advise employer: job posting, advertising rules, campaign; collect data from campaign; prepare analysis; submit LMIA application to ESDC with rationale for request; Ensure employer understands agreement and undertaking. Represent client on inquiries.

9. Live-in Caregivers
EXPERIENCE: 2-5 YEARS

Advise employer on conditions and rules regarding current initiative or program; prepare Job offer document; advise and guide caregiver applicant on program requisites: demonstration of ability; documents for PR; work permit and travelling.

10. PNP
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 YEARS

Submit Expressions of Interest to provinces; Provide overview of PNP; advice and guidance on gathering evidence; prepare and submit PNP application; Respond on client's behalf to PNP inquiries; submit PR application; advise on landing process.

11. H&C
EXPERIENCE: 2-5 YEARS

Consult extensively with client on matter at hand, underlying issues and bona fide evidence; Conduct research into precedent cases; prepare application, lead submission with solid rational. Counsel client on coping while awaiting final decision.
