To work in Canada, most foreign workers need to obtain a work permit before they can work in Canada.
Travelling to Canada with a new passport where the mother's name has been changed.
By: Fakrul Hassan on May 25, 2024 05:19 AM EST
Hi, I have a valid open work permit visa on my old passport. I have been issued a new passport because my mother's name was incorrect on my old passport. So, I corrected my mother's name on all documents, such as my birth certificate and national identity card, and obtained a new passport.
My mother's name doesn't match the name on my old passport. Can I travel to Canada with my new passport (I will bring my old passport)? Will I face any problems with immigration?
