Study Permit not issued at Point of Entry - how can I get one now (asap)?
By: gabor on Dec 31, 2020 01:16 PM EST
Hello Forum! I am a graduate student at the University of Alberta. My application for a study permit has been approved, however when I arrived at Toronto Airport two days ago, I did not receive my study permit. I am now in Edmonton. I've been trying to find out how to get a study permit in such circumstances, but I have been unsuccessful so far. Tried Canada Place, the embassy of my home country to no avail. How can one get a study permit when already in Canada (ideally online, or in Edmonton)? Or do I have to go to Point of Entry Airport (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal)? Or the border? Do I need any additional documentation? Thanks very much for anybody who can help and Happy New Year!
