Return Refund Needs Shipping Breakdown
By: lleailea on Oct 20, 2026 08:50 AM EST
Following a RockAuto return, the refund amount was lower than I expected from the original order total. The part price seems right, so shipping or another adjustment may explain the difference. Can support provide a line-by-line breakdown of a completed return? I would like to hear whether anyone got a clear explanation without reopening the whole return case. A detailed refund breakdown would make the difference much easier to understand.

For a completed return refund question, customers using rockauto customer service contacts can reach support for an explanation of how the final amount was calculated. The part price, original payment, refund total, and any shipping charge are the main details worth comparing. A finished return does not need to be reopened just to understand the math. The service team can separate the product refund from delivery costs or another adjustment and explain where the final figure came from. That gives the customer one clear breakdown without turning the refund into a new case.
