Is Acima Leasing Available in Canada?
By: maryannlee888 on May 20, 2025 11:54 PM EST
Hi everyone! đź‘‹
I've recently learned about Acima, a lease-to-own company that offers flexible payment options for items like furniture, electronics, and more. Their services seem quite popular in the U.S., especially for those looking for alternatives to traditional credit.
I'm curious—does Acima operate in Canada? If not, are there similar companies here that provide lease-to-own solutions without requiring perfect credit?
Would love to hear from anyone who's explored these options or has recommendations.
Thanks in advance! 🇨🇦💳

Hey there! I first heard of acima back in 2018 when a friend used it for new living room furniture, but after moving to Toronto in 2021 I realized they don’t have a Canadian branch yet. Instead, I’ve used Flexiti and Easyhome for lease-to-own electronics and small appliances—and they’re pretty flexible on credit history. For furniture, I did a short-term lease through The Brick’s own program. A fun fact: I once got a big-screen TV delivered with no credit check, paid over twelve months, and ended up saving cash flow for a trip to Banff! Hope that truly helps, cheers!
