Dependent Sponsorship Who Applied for Refugee
By: Dependent Child Who Applied for Refugee on Oct 03, 2020 11:07 PM EST
I have a complicated situation that I need some guidance. My client is in Colombia (Jane Doe) and her son applied for refugee here in Canada on March 2020. The son crossed the forest border in Quebec and he is 20 years old. My client Jane is being sponsored for under family class. Her spouse is in Canada and is a Canadian citizen.
We are including the 20 year old son as part of the application as dependent. But how will this affect the application that he has filed for refugee?
