Article Advice Needed Better Sourcing
By: lleailea on Oct 19, 2026 01:56 AM EST
Reading a Mindbodygreen article left me with a useful idea, but I wanted to understand where the recommendation came from before treating it seriously. The piece included expert comments, though the supporting sources were not equally detailed. Has anyone compared the references on similar articles, and did some topics seem much better sourced than others? I would like to know how much attention others pay to the source links before trusting the advice.

Source quality is the part I pay attention to when an article gives advice that sounds useful but depends heavily on expert interpretation. I’d compare the publication date, linked research, the type of evidence cited, and whether the expert comment actually matches what the source supports. On https://mindbodygreen.pissedconsumer.com/review.html, the stronger articles are easier to recognize when the references are specific enough to follow rather than simply adding authority by name. Some subjects naturally have thinner evidence than others. I’d judge each piece on how clearly it separates research, expert opinion, and practical suggestion.
