Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently held a category-based draw for French speakers.
On October 25th, 2023, IRCC issued 300 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 486. This draw was category-based, targeting candidates who are proficient in French. This means that all candidates who were selected in this draw had met the minimum French language requirements in their Express Entry profiles.
The latest French language category-based draw had the highest CRS cut-off score of 486. The previous draw was held on Sept 27th in which 500 candidates were invited with a minimum CRS score of 472. This year, Canada has conducted five category-based selection draws for French speakers so far.
