More than 50 communities in BC will participate in the second phase of a regional pilot program designed to attract entrepreneurs who can assist with meeting regional economic development needs.

The BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) Regional Pilot launched in 2019 and was designed to stimulate economic growth in smaller BC communities. The province hopes Phase 2 can help spur further economic recovery in areas hit hard by the pandemic.

The government has extended the pilot until March 31, 2024.
