Canada Held its First Express Entry Draw of April

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited 3,500 candidates in a new all-program express entry draw.

On April 12th, 2023, Canada conducted its sixth all-program Express Entry draw of this year. This time invitations were sent to 3,500 candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 486, which is five points higher than the previous draw held on March 29th.

The latest draw comes after three consecutive Express Entry draws in which 21,000 candidates were invited in total. Last month, IRCC held the largest all-program draws, 3 weeks in a row inviting 7,000 candidates in each draw. This was also the highest number of invitations issued in a single month in over two years.

Canada has conducted 10 Express Entry draws up until now in 2023, with one draw targeted at Federal Skilled Worker candidates, three at Provincial Nominee Program candidates and six at all-program.
